Running is a skill, with defined techniques and most people have not been taught how to run. Through our unique coaching methodology we have developed the ability to help individuals of all levels.
We all know someone who has downloaded a running plan, a stock one size fits all answer to finishing your target event within a certain time. Whilst those plans are useful to an extent they do not take account of your physiology, running style and available training time to maximise your potential.

IMTC organise regular training sessions for athletes to catch up with each other, put in a great effort and enjoy a reward afterwards... Who doesn't like a cafe stop!
Training varies from group runs, cycling events to swim sessions; each session splits into groups of various abilities to ensure everyone gets the most out of course.

The IMTC Majorcan training camps have become a firm favorite with our cyclists and triathletes over the years and with camps in early season (March/April) and again in the late season (Sept/Oct) there is something for everyone.

We specialise in all forms of triathlon; sprint, standard, long distance; but we also offer plans for unique elements like recovery, core stability, injury prevention, stretching & flexibility, strength and anything else you can think of!
You're also in the right place for a plan that gets you to the start of any kind of swimming, cycling or running event. Whilst three is the magic number it's not for everyone and you can be just as involved in the community training one discipline as doing triathlon.
Plans are delivered electronically using Training Peaks; this enables your coach to see how your performing, interact with you, adjust the plan, set out clear goals and sessions for you to follow. Each week you can see your plan 'go green' as you knock off the IMTC set training.

Ian has a full understanding of what it takes to extend your limits and reach new levels of achievement. Having spent years studying the mechanics, science and psychology of swim, bike & run; this initially resulted in Ian being the go to person for advice and IMTC was born.

For swimming we use the CSS tests, on the bike we use power output on a Watt Bike and for running we have a defined set of tests over various distances. Our coaching team each specialise in a different area but share knowledge so that no matter who your coach is you can be sure of the best advice.

IMTC offers regular classroom based sessions for the athletes signed up to programmes with us. Run from hotels in the North West of England we can also live stream to athletes from further afield.
Each session has our coaches explaining about a particular aspect of training; for example, we have looked at what 'the numbers' mean and how to train using power meters.
These evenings are a great time to learn, meet the rest of the IMTC community and get support in reaching your goals.

Our swim clinics include video analysis and bring out the three most important improvements you can make. Following the analysis there is a session in the pool with your training aids; we know that everyone makes massive steps forward on these days.
The bike clinics cover all areas that you could ever need and we offer a full range of topics. From transition to descending and bike set up to maintenance we have it covered.
Often overlooked in the triathlon world; IMTC has brilliant run clinics to fine tune your running performance. Sessions with our running coaches include real time feedback and exercises to enhance your ability on the run course.

We can also advise on what works well and what all the numbers really mean. Our plans are delivered via training peaks online and each athlete can utilise a smartphone app or log in from any computer to see their plans and update on progress.
