Believe. It's the key to success.
And belief is born out of confidence. At IMTC we work hard to ensure all of our athletes have the most amount of confidence; in turn this promotes their thinking about progress and achievements.
Once you're thinking the right way then the impossible becomes possible, once unreachable goals are now medals hanging on the wall and you have ever increasing capability to deliver your dreams...
I have had two training plans for 70.3 from Ian. I would sum it up as saying he’s like Marmite, sometimes I love him and sometimes I hate him!! But you can guarantee he gets results.

The Couch... Kryptonite to a triathlete, a magnet when it comes to getting out on a session and a constant temptation to sabotage training.
Jim Vance writes:
"When life gets stressful, skipping workouts because you’re not in the mood only brings about more stress and frustration with training and lack of results. Training is your escape, keep it that way. Skipping that transition run because you think you’re too tired, is a missed opportunity to build confidence with a great run, or to learn to better pace your bike. So many of us value performances in our lives, and to not give yourself the best chance to perform, just sabotages your efforts and investment."
I have successfully completed 2 Ironman Triathlons whilst being coached by Ian at IMTC. The training plans, coaching, advice and support from them was second to none.
The plans and support proved to be invaluable and gave me the discipline and structure to train in a methodical manner. It was this scientific approach rather than just getting the miles in & which helped and ensured I was fully ready for race day.
I would and have recommended IMTC to fellow triathletes of all standards if they want to bring in some science and structure to their training.

Keep moving forward (unless it is rest day - then you need to stop). We love these quotes, they keep us all at IMTC motivated and we thought we'd share them with you.
If you're struggling to get motivated and achieve your goals then get in touch with Ian and sign up to become part of the IMTC community. We keep each other going; a great mix of humour, advice, experience shared and support mean that getting in to IMTC is something you won't regret.
Ian provides an effective blend of technical advice and encouragement. He is highly skilled at identifying what each of his athletes needs and tailoring their plans accordingly. A real motivator.

No Pain - No Gain.
At IMTC we believe that challenging yourself is essential to growing your potential as an athlete; but we don't do ridiculous 'break the bank' sessions. A wise trainer once talked about having a limited amount of matches to burn in an event; every big effort is like burning a match.
Burn too many and you're burnt out way before the end!
So we balance your development through tough targets, based on your feedback to ensure that over a consistent period you develop in to all that you can be.
Some days you will love it and others will hurt; but whatever happens your IMTC plan will get you where you want to be. Here's some athlete quotes from the hurt locker!
IMTC has helped me reach many personal goals. When I first got to know Ian, my coach, I couldn't swim freestyle for more than one length, had never 'clipped in' to a bike or run a long distance race without having some kind of crisis.
To date I have completed a number of events, three half Iron distance triathlons and lost 2.5 stone in the process. IMTC is for everyone no matter where you finish in an event. Without Ian's expert guidance I would have not been close to achieving the things I have.
The benefits are massive for my home and work life as well; being fitter makes a huge difference... Thanks Ian... Thanks IMTC.
